Image Foundry’s primary studio is in Manchester, with offices in London and New Delhi. The team works with property developers, housing associations, and commercial clients across the UK – from regional developers to national housebuilders. Because architectural CGI is produced from drawings and specifications rather than site visits, location is rarely a constraint. Projects are delivered remotely for clients across the country.
Image Foundry has been producing architectural CGI since 2001 – over 20 years of working with property developers, housing associations, and commercial clients on schemes of every scale. In that time, clients have used Image Foundry’s CGI to sell more than £16bn of property and products. The studio has worked on everything from individual house type renders to large mixed-use development campaigns.
Image Foundry works across the full scale of residential and commercial development – from boutique single-phase schemes through to large phased build programmes with multiple development types. The approach and quality of output is the same regardless of scale. Whether you’re launching 20 units or 200, the process starts with understanding your buyers, and the CGI is built around what will move them.
Yes. Image Foundry works with architects needing CGI for planning submissions, client presentations, and public consultation, as well as property developers and marketing teams using CGI for sales and marketing campaigns. The requirements are different – planning CGI prioritises technical accuracy and contextual accuracy; marketing CGI prioritises buyer response – and Image Foundry produces both.
Revisions are scoped and agreed as part of the initial brief. Image Foundry’s process includes a mood board and/or white block stage, so you can confirm the direction – materials, lighting, lifestyle context – before the team commits to the full model build. This reduces the need for significant revisions later. Any changes beyond the agreed scope are costed and approved before work proceeds, so there are no surprises.
The process is designed to be straightforward. After an initial briefing call, Image Foundry produces mood boards and reference boards that show the intended direction before any 3D work begins. First draft renders follow, with a review and feedback stage before final delivery.
Accuracy starts at briefing. Image Foundry works from your architectural drawings, materials schedules, and specifications – and checks back with your team at mood board and first draft stage to catch anything that needs correcting before final delivery. For materials and finishes that are specified but difficult to judge from a schedule alone, the team will typically request physical samples or manufacturer references. The 3D model is retained after delivery, so any changes to the specification after sign-off can be updated quickly.
Image Foundry produces the full range of outputs a property developer needs: CGI stills, animation, interactive content, social ads, microsites and brochure design. Stills (exteriors, interiors, aerials, street scenes, site plans), animation (fly-throughs, cinematic sequences, dynamic stills), and interactive content (360° tours, VR walkthroughs, site plan tools). One studio, one briefing process, one consistent visual identity across every asset. For developers who want strategic input as well as production, Image Foundry can advise on which asset types will perform best across which channels – not just execute the brief as given.
The most useful starting point is a brief conversation about your project – the scheme, your timeline, and the scope of imagery you need. Image Foundry doesn’t produce template quotes: every project is scoped based on the specific requirements. You can reach the team at hello@loveimagefoundry.com or 0161 302 1580, or submit a brief through the website. If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s fine – the team can help you work out the right scope as part of the initial call.
